Pratimokshasutra
Der Pratimoksha (skt.) bzw. Patimokkha (pali) ist eine Liste von Regeln für buddhistische Nonnen (Bhikkhuni) und Mönche (Bhikkhu) für das Mönchsleben. Es gehört zum Vinaya, dem ersten Lehrkorb des Buddha. Es gibt zwei Pratimoksha - Sutras über buddhistisch-monastische Disziplin.
Das theravadische Patimokkha ist im Suttavibhanga des Vinaya Pitaka enthalten.
Das Pratimokshasutra liegt auch in einer Version der Mahasamghikas und in einer Version der Mulasarvastavadins vor, welcher der tibetische Buddhismus folgte.
Die ostasiatischen Schulen folgten der prātimokṣa - Ausgabe der Dharmaguptaka Vinaya - Linie.
