Chandogya Upanishade

Die 'Chandogya Upanishade' oder 'Chāndogya Upaniṣad'(Lied und Opfer) ist mit ihren 8 Kapiteln eine der primären(mukhya) Upanishaden.
Zusammen mit der Jaiminiya Upanishad und der Brihadaranyaka Upanishad[1] gehört Chāndogya Upaniṣad zu den alten Upanishaden der Brahmana - Periode des vedischen Sanskrit. Sie wird mit dem Kauthuma Shakha des Samaveda assoziiert und hält Platz 9 im Muktika - Kanon der 108 Upanishaden. Sie zudem ist ein Teil des 10teiligen Chandogya Brahmana.
