Waidan

Der Begriff Waidan (Pinyin wàidān‚ äußerer Zinnober, äußeres Elixier) bezeichnet die chinesische Alchemie in ihrer äußeren Form. Das Ziel ist die Herstellung eines Elixiers der Unsterblichkeit aus Mineralien und Pflanzen. Das Daozang enthält ungefähr hundert Texte zur äußeren Alchemie.
