Naropa

Naropa (auch: Nāro oder Nārotapa, * 1016; † 1100) war ein tantrischer buddhistischer Meister und einer der 84 Mahasiddhas^[1]. Er wurde nach glänzender Kindheit und Jugend Lehrer an der Nalanda - Universität. Seine Kenntnisse erhielt Naropa von seinem Lehrer Tilopa^[2] (* 988; † 1069).

Im Westen ist Naropa durch seine 6 Yogas bekannt^[3].
